Angela N. Carroll is a writer, curator, and investigator of art history and culture. Her work is featured in publications by Columbia University, The Baltimore Museum of Art, Rena Bransten Gallery, The National Museum of Women in the Arts, Sugarcane Magazine, Black Art in America, BmoreArt, Saint Heron, and Hyperallergic. Her latest initiative, Exploring Presence: African American Artists in the Upper South, a limited-edition catalog, exhibition and 10-film docuseries, surveys unsung artists in the DMV. She received her MFA in Digital Arts and New Media from UCSC and intermittently teaches at American University, MICA and Stevenson University.
